Registration is now open for the Workshop on Accelerating Adoption of Structural Health Monitoring Technologies, taking place on 20 October 2026 at The Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry, UK. This event is organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT), in collaboration with the UK Research Centre in Non-Destructive Evaluation (RCNDE).

This workshop will bring together the structural health monitoring (SHM) community and external stakeholders to highlight successful industrial applications of SHM technology, to explore how SHM technology can make use of existing standards and codes of practice in non-destructive testing (NDT) and condition monitoring (CM) and to explore barriers to entry and adoption that exist for SHM technology.

The purpose is to generate a document that captures the requirements of conditions and actions that will enable the faster adoption of SHM technology in the future.

This workshop aims to receive input from all stakeholders (end-users, equipment manufacturers, regulators, insurers and other interested parties) to point out actions and roadmaps that enable overcoming the challenges and highlighting the benefits that adoption of SHM technology can bring in the future.
