ImagingNext

FRAMOS is stepping up its game once again. The leading AI imaging event, ImagingNext, has added more high-profile speakers to its lineup: Imaging experts from SONY will be presenting the latest developments in their field at the smartvillage in Munich-Bogenhausen from September 18 to 19.

With three presentations, the SONY specialists will be bringing their concentrated innovative power to Munich:

  • Masaki Fukuchi – Head of Application Research Lab, AI&DX Technology Division, Sony Semiconductor Solutions – and Daniel Safari – Principal Engineer – will provide exclusive insights into Sony’s current research on computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and visual SLAM – from robotics to AR/VR – in “A Peek Behind the Curtain: Computer Vision activities at Sony Semiconductor Solutions”.

  • Alexander Gatto, Senior Manager in R&D, will show in “Spectral Imaging in the age of AI” how spectral imaging is opening up completely new fields of application with the help of artificial intelligence – and where the journey is heading in terms of technology.

  • Michele Lapresa, Technical Manager and Edge AI pioneer, compares key approaches in “Conventional AI vs. Edge AI” and presents how Sony’s IMX500 sensor enables AI processing directly in the device – with exciting examples from smart city and retail applications.

ImagingNext 2025 brings together leading minds from industry, research, and technology to shape the future of AI-powered imaging at an exceptionally attractive price of €550 plus VAT. Visitors can expect a diverse program of keynotes, technical presentations, and networking opportunities – with SONY as one of the driving forces behind innovation in image processing.
