Pure Technology Acquires Keytech Managed Solutions

Pure Technology Acquires Keytech Managed Solutions

Wigan-based Keytech Managed Solutions has been snapped up by Pure Technology Group. A Microsoft Gold partner, Keytech specialises in backup and data continuity, as well as managed services.

“I’m really pleased to welcome our Keytech colleagues to the team, as we share so many similar values. Adding its 25-plus years of experience to our existing model is a tremendous opportunity for us to pool knowledge, resources and capabilities, as well as realise much bigger joint ambitions,” commented on the purchase Pure CEO, Stephen O’Brien.

Pure’s latest acquisition, before Keytech, was Servatech, which was acquired in 2014 and then brought into the Pure Technology Group in 2016.

Pure’s COO Cliff Fox told CRN last month that an acquisition was imminent, after the firm announced its revenue had increased 23% in its last financial year, to £27.8 million. Pure now claims to be on track to hit £40 million this year.

“Joining the Pure Technology Group is an incredibly exciting prospect. Giving us access to a larger supply chain and a great sales and marketing engine, it will make a real difference to the business, our customers and our staff. We can see clearly how we’ll fit in from day one without huge change,” said Steve Critchley, managing director at Keytech.

Pure’s Fox added that the firm is set for further acquisitions, with a particular focus on the south-east. “When we wrote the strategy in 2016, we envisaged acquisitions along with organic development to model our projected growth. Geographic expansion was a big part of that and will continue as we search for the next suitable company – ideally within the M25 radius.”

“With new strategic services launching, Keytech coming on board and further acquisition in the pipeline, we have another big year ahead of us,” Fox concluded.
