Industrial Metaverse for Scaling XR Use Cases across Devices

Holo-Light

At AWE USA, booth 613, Holo-Light will showcase XRnow, an enterprise-grade, centralized Industrial Metaverse platform for hosting, streaming, and scaling AR/VR applications. This Industrial Metaverse brings the power of the cloud to mobile XR, providing infinite computing power, smart orchestration of resources, and high scalability. Holo-Light is also expanding its device support landscape with the addition of hardware from Microsoft, Meta, Magic Leap, Lenovo, and Qualcomm.

XRnow brings multiple benefits to users. By providing a centrally managed infrastructure for streaming, managing, and accessing all XR applications, the platform enables efficient and secure workflows across distributed teams and increases accessibility through global deployment. Streaming via the cloud or an on-premises server provides the required performance for a high-quality user experience on any device, anytime, anywhere. Thanks to connecting to established data sources such as PLM systems, XRnow serves as a single source of truth for data of any size and complexity, promoting consistent and error-free workflows. In addition, XRnow helps increase security through streaming and centralized monitoring, ensuring that sensitive data is kept off devices and protected from potential security breaches.

Experience the use case: An engineering app for AR and VR

AWE visitors are invited to experience the benefits of XRnow in personal demos with Holo-Light’s AR Engineering Space AR 3S. Running in the XRnow ecosystem, it is the world’s first professional Industrial Metaverse application to enable interaction and multi-user mode between AR and VR. Engineers and industrial designers use AR 3S to visualize complex, full-scale 3D CAD models, merge them with physical components, and evaluate and interact with them in the physical environment. With AR 3S, everyone involved in the product development process can collaborate and work on the same digital twin in real time, regardless of location.

The latest version of AR 3S supports VR devices such as Meta Quest 2 in addition to AR devices such as Microsoft HoloLens 2, enabling seamless interaction between the two. At AWE, visitors can step into the Industrial Metaverse using a variety of AR and VR devices, including Microsoft HoloLens 2, Meta Quest 2, Lenovo ThinkReality A3, and Magic Leap 2.

Extending Collaboration with XR Hardware Vendors

Holo-Light is expanding the number of supported devices for its streaming technology and platform, enabling XR software vendors to use remote rendering and streaming with even more devices. Following official support for Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Meta Quest 2, the company is now announcing support for additional platforms. Compatibility with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Spaces platform allows developers and enterprises to stream their applications to Lenovo’s ThinkReality A3 and the announced VRX device. Enterprises will also be able to stream XR apps to Magic Leap 2. Companies interested in streaming their applications to these newly added platforms will have the opportunity to pilot the technology.
