UKIVA Machine Vision Conference 2020 Cancelled

UKIVA Machine Vision Conference 2020 Cancelled : Following the outbreak and rapidly growing spread of coronavirus 2 (COVID-19) in the UK and specific areas of mainland Europe, UKIVA (UK Industrial Vision Association) has taken the unfortunate decision to cancel this year’s Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition (MVC), scheduled to take place on 14 May 2020.

In response to the cancellation of the event, Allan Anderson, Chairman of UKIVA, said:

“As an event organiser, we have a duty of care to our staff, exhibitors and visitors alike, which is why we acted early and in accordance with the escalating public health risk reported by the relevant authorities.

“MVC 2020 was on course to be our largest event to date, with many exhibitors and visitors due to travel from overseas. Our presentation theatres are very popular amongst exhibitors; therefore, we are delighted to announce that many exhibitors’ presentations will be available to view via a FREE-to-access technology presentation hub on 14 May.

“This new initiative will enable registrants for MVC 2020 to view a range of presentations from their PC or Smartphones to keep up to date with the latest industry trends, innovations and insights this year.

“We are also pleased to announce that MVC will return to the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes in Spring 2021. More information will be available on machinevisionconference.co.uk and @UKIVAconfex soon.”
