CNC Robotics, a Liverpool based machining manufacturer, has launched its latest cloud based software CNCR-Live, which aims to help manufacturers increase connectivity between digital and automated systems. The machine monitoring device was created in partnership with business support programme LCR 4.0 and Sensor City.
Through this collaboration, CNC had access to specialised skills and engineering software, such as the NI LabView Software Development System, which has enabled the company to combine digital and automated systems.
CNCR-Live integrates real-time diagnostic technology and monitors robotic data to predict when maintenance is needed. Using it will prevent failures in the production process that usually cause a slowdown or shutdown as a result.

The prototype is currently being tested and implemented in Sensor Cityâs engineering lab and CNC Roboticsâ facility in Bootle, Liverpool. The programme was partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and it is being delivered in partnership by some of the regionâs key knowledge and scientific assets: the University of Liverpool (through its Virtual Engineering Centre), Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LCR LEP), Liverpool John Moores University (Faculty of Engineering and Technology), the Science and Technology Facilities Councilâs Hartree Centre and Sensor City.
