The Meetings of Minds portfolio continues to grow with the introduction of its newest event: Confluence, a dedicated one-day forum focused on the future of UK water infrastructure and the challenges of building long-term resilience. The event will take place on 3 March 2027 as part of Interchange 2027 at Manchester Central.
The next five years will be the most demanding in the history of the UK water sector. A £104bn AMP8 capital programme. A £7.9bn programme of flood and coastal resilience. More than £50bn of major water projects. All at once, all drawing on the same people, the same supply chain, and the same investors.
Delivered as separate projects, they will compete. Delivered as one programme, they could be the moment this sector shows what it can do, and earns the confidence of investors, government, and the public.
Confluence 2027 is where that starts. Not a sales event. Not a talking shop. An honest, independent forum bringing regulators, clients, investors, contractors, and government into one conversation, and moving from emphasis to action.
On the day:
- Three programmes, one delivery challenge: is the sector ready?
- From 30 projects to one programme: what does it really take?
- What do investors need to commit, and how can the sector deliver it?
- Skills, capacity, productivity, and digital: what comes next?
Interested attendees can register their interest now at confluence-uk.com to ensure they are the first to hear when official registration opens.
