Lindemann

With more than 30 years experience in the international metals industry, Meng Nikolas Sachinopoulos took up his role as Lindemann ‘s Head of Sales for the UK & Ireland on the 1st October.

Nikolas is a Greek national who has lived in the UK for the last eight years.

The 52-year-old holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University in Athens, Greece. Prior to joining Lindemann he owned and managed foundry solutions company Chenco for more than 25 years, and for the last seven years has been head of sales for aftermarket in Europe, Asia and Australia for Ajax Tocco, a Midlands-based induction heat treating company.

Commenting on his appointment Nikolas said: “I am committed to continue the good work that my successor Chris Tressler has done all these years and grow capital equipment sales in the UK and Ireland. I’m also focused on developing the servicing of our existing installations. Recycling in the UK will only increase and that will offer us lots of new opportunities to grow.

“Lindemann is perhaps the biggest name in the industry, “Nikolas continues, “so we start from a position of advantage in our discussions with customers. I am motivated to join Lindemann as it has this amazing 100 year-plus heritage, as well as a supportive team environment. This is a great opportunity!”
