LISI AEROSPACE appoints Equity Energies as Strategic Partner

LISI AEROSPACE

LISI AEROSPACE, part of the LISI Group, has appointed Equity Energies to deliver bespoke energy management and decarbonisation solutions to further advance its Net Zero progress in the UK.

LISI AEROSPACE is a worldwide leading manufacturer of high-tech metal structural components for aircraft engines and airframes and features in the top 100 in the global aerospace value chain.

Serving the world’s aircraft and systems manufacturers, and with key clients including Airbus and Boeing Company, LISI AEROSPACE supports more than 300 customers in 30 countries, with the company’s products featuring in most of the world’s aircraft and at every stage of their lifecycles. The business produces more than 200k items per day at its manufacturing site in Rugby, Warwickshire.

Through its consultancy offer and proprietary technology, Equity Energies will develop and deliver a tailored energy management strategy and Net Zero pathway, helping the business meet the growing demand for emissions reductions while accelerating its decarbonisation through energy efficiency and waste reduction.

In the immediate term, its proprietary analytics and smart metering platform – MY ZEERO – which empowers clients to measure, manage and visualise their energy use at a granular circuit level – will be installed across eighteen pieces of equipment at the UK manufacturing site, enabling the identification of maintenance issues and where energy efficiencies can be made while delivering data to support carbon tracking and reporting.

This will be underpinned by the development of an ongoing Net Zero pathway, tailored to the individual and changing needs of the business.

Mark Capell, General Manager at LISI AEROSPACE’s Rugby site, commented:

“We’re proud of the positive steps that have already been taken in advancing our progress on Net Zero. There’s been a notable shift in investment and in the pace of progress to reach net-carbon-neutrality within aviation, in line with the 2050 target. This is creating positive pressure within the supply chain as businesses seek to further reduce their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

“At the heart of achieving progress is the value chain. Through our partnership with Equity Energies, we will gain access to a wide range of decarbonisation products and services which will not only unlock value through efficiencies but will accelerate our Net Zero journey and in doing so, support the ambitions of our clients around the world.”

Ryan O’Neill, Chief Strategy Officer of Equity Energies, said:

“We are delighted to be supporting LISI AEROSPACE on its continued journey to Net Zero. We share its commitment to excellence and innovation in our pursuit to help businesses – particularly those in the manufacturing and industrial sector – advance on their pathway to Net Zero. Deployment of the MY ZEERO tool will provide instant insight into the energy consumption across this range of equipment, which will unlock immediate opportunities for action around maintenance and energy efficiency, while supporting the longer-term Net Zero pathway design and execution.”
