Finning to Lead Sustainable Power Conversation at PowerEx Live

PowerEx Live

Finning UK & Ireland will take centre stage at PowerEx Live to lead discussions on sustainability in the power industry. Clint Noble, Senior Sales Manager at Finning, will deliver a session exploring the complex path to sustainable power sources while addressing industry restraints and the fuels of the future.

Taking place in London on December 7, PowerEx Live brings together professionals from across the power generation sectors and includes an insightful conference programme with industry experts at the top of their respective fields.

Clint Noble said: “Data centres are pivotal in powering the digital economy, enhancing efficiency and creating job opportunities in various sectors. The significance of data centres is increasingly evident, particularly in the UK, Ireland, and Central Europe, where we’re seeing rapid expansion in data centre capacity.

“It’s crucial that this growth is managed effectively, especially in conjunction with the increased market for gensets which are widely used for backup power supply.

“The recent Energy Trends report by the new Department for Energy Security & Net Zero showed that remarkable progress has been made in renewable energy usage. This marks a solid foundation for the UK to expand its renewable energy framework.  For the genset market specifically there are big challenges. Stringent environmental standards, ongoing infrastructural enhancements, and the pursuit of net-zero emissions. The relationship between renewable energy progress and the genset market is indicative of a larger trend towards more sustainable and dependable energy solutions.

“Gensets will continue to play a crucial role in advancing clean energy initiatives, helping businesses tap into affordable, renewable sources. During my talk, I will delve into how businesses can integrate sustainable gensets and explore solutions that complement their existing infrastructure investments.

“Additionally, I’ll provide an insight into how Finning can support the data centre and power generation sectors in adopting innovative energy solutions through our wide array of Cat® products, including our efficient gensets and cutting-edge hybrid energy systems.”

Clint’s PowerEx Live presentation takes place in Room 1 (12:00-12:30 GMT on December 7) at the Park Plaza in London. Attendees are also encouraged to visit the Finning stand (no. 30) to discuss the innovative solutions from Finning and explore support for the sustainable transformation on the road to net zero.
