„New inserts with real bite“ – Just like the existing GARANT HB70 series, the new GARANT indexable insert family cuts through steel easily and precisely thanks to a perfect combination of hardness and toughness in the coatings. With the development of the new grades, the Hoffmann Group presents three additional high-performance solutions.
Thanks to a fine-grained substrate with carefully selected substrate properties and a robust CVD coating made of TiCN and Al₂O₃, the HB70 series delivers precise performance where it is needed, especially for all steel applications. Three features of the series take steel machining to the next level: The wear-resistant, thermo-resistant external CVD coating system with controlled crystal orientation for maximum hardness values, and the high toughness values of the inner carbide substrate to prevent chipping. A special bonding layer between the components increases service life. The special surface aftertreatment reduces the internal stresses in the CVD coating and thus prevents the propagation of cracks, which occur during unstable machining. This combination is the basis for the new indexable inserts, which are precisely tailored to various requirements in steel machining:
- GARANT HB7010-2: High performance grade for high cutting speeds and continuous cutting.
- GARANT HB7020-2: General-purpose grade for continuous and slightly interrupted cutting, optimised wear resistance at medium cutting speeds.
- GARANT HB7035-2: Process-reliable grade for low cutting speeds and heavily interrupted cutting.
More powerful. More efficient. More precise: With the new indexable inserts of the GARANT HB70 series, the Hoffmann Group can offer customers more solutions to their specific problems in the field of turning. For highest productivity in industrial manufacturing without any loss of quality.
The new grades are available now, either via the Hoffmann Group eShop or the catalogue 2025/2026 (available as a digital or a print version)
