Horizontal, vertical and everything in between – the GARANT electronic spirit level measures in any position. Precise, convenient, intuitive. For this, it received the coveted ‘Winner’ award at the German Design Award 2026. In addition to the consistent combination of digital precision and classic analogue aesthetics, the jury praised the clear operating logic, an excellently readable display and the robust aluminium housing.
In its more than 50-year history, the GARANT brand can already look back on a total of 61 awards for its elegant and ergonomic design – now it has received another internationally acclaimed award in recognition of its achievements: the German Design Award 2026.
The award went to the GARANT light metal spirit level with digital inclinometer. Angles are measured electronically and displayed digitally. An integrated digital capsule vial allows the inclination to be measured simultaneously in both directions. Due to its accuracy, the spirit level is suitable for reverse measurement, while the automatic screen rotation guarantees comfortable reading at any angle. Having two analogue bubbles, the spirit level can be used conventionally as well. And with its robust aluminium body and IP67 protection it is ready for tough working conditions. To meet different requirements and a wide range of applications, the electronic spirit level is available in eight lengths. Starting with a short version of 250 mm, which is perfect for tool bags and cases, up to 2,000 mm – for larger tasks.
The jury’s statement: “The consistent fusion of digital precision and classic analogue aesthetics makes the »GARANT light metal spirit level with digital inclinometer« a tool of distinctive character. Clear operating logic, an excellently readable display and the robust aluminium housing ensure an assured performance in demanding settings. Versatility and expressive functionality create a significant impact, convincingly highlighting the outstanding quality.”
With this award, GARANT positions itself among the best in a highly competitive field: Over 3,900 submissions from 57 countries were registered in 2026, with international submissions accounting for 52% of the total. All participating projects are reviewed and discussed by an international, interdisciplinary panel of experts – independent and with an eye for excellence.
