Vericut to Showcase Practical Manufacturing Innovation

CNC simulation, optimisation and AI-assisted technologies will help manufacturers explore ways to reduce costs, improve productivity and increase confidence in production.

Vericut will demonstrate how CNC simulation, verification, optimisation and post-processing technologies can help manufacturers address key production challenges at Advanced Engineering 2026, taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 4–5 November.

Exhibiting at Stand Q140-19, Vericut will showcase practical approaches to improving machining performance, reducing manufacturing risk and making better use of existing machine tool capacity, while exploring the growing role of artificial intelligence in supporting engineering expertise.

Bringing together engineering professionals and technology suppliers from across the UK, Advanced Engineering 2026 will cover key industry topics including advanced manufacturing, automation, digitalisation, clean energy, research and development, and skills development.

For Vericut, the focus will be on demonstrating how digital manufacturing technologies can deliver tangible benefits on the shop floor.

Reducing risk before production begins

As manufacturers face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while controlling costs, identifying potential problems before machining begins is becoming increasingly important.

Vericut independently simulates and verifies final, post-processed NC programs against a digital representation of the CNC machine and its manufacturing environment. By accounting for factors such as machine kinematics, tooling, fixtures, stock and control behaviour, manufacturers can identify potential errors before they lead to costly machine crashes, damaged components or production delays.

Moving verification away from the physical machine can also help reduce prove-out time, protect valuable equipment and give programmers and operators greater confidence before production starts.

Turning optimisation into measurable savings

Beyond verification, Vericut will highlight how machining optimisation can help manufacturers improve cycle times and reduce tooling costs without changing the programmed toolpath geometry.

Vericut Force analyses cutting conditions throughout the toolpath and adjusts feed rates according to factors including cutter engagement, chip thickness, cutting forces and machining conditions. This enables manufacturers to make better use of machine capability while managing cutting loads more effectively.

The benefits are demonstrated by UK-based ELE Advanced Technologies, a manufacturer of turbine components for the aerospace and power generation sectors. Using Vericut Force, the company achieved a 20% reduction in cutting tool costs per component and an 11% reduction in cycle time.

The results highlight how data-driven optimisation can deliver measurable cost savings alongside improvements in machining performance.

Making AI practical for manufacturing teams

Artificial intelligence and automation will feature prominently at Advanced Engineering 2026, including within the event’s dedicated AI, Digitalisation and Automation programme.

Vericut will demonstrate how AI can support manufacturing professionals by making technical knowledge easier to access, helping users navigate software and supporting the development of skills as production processes become more complex.

Vericut Assistant is integrated directly into Vericut, allowing users to ask questions in natural language and receive contextual guidance on software functions and workflows. Vericut Intelligence extends access to Vericut-related technical knowledge through a web-based resource, while AI-assisted guidance is also being introduced within Icam Post.

These tools are designed to help engineers access relevant information more efficiently, complementing their existing knowledge and experience rather than replacing the specialist expertise essential to successful manufacturing.

Supporting the future of advanced manufacturing

As manufacturers adopt increasingly sophisticated CNC equipment, digital workflows and automation, the ability to understand and manage complexity remains critical.

Vericut’s technologies support this transition by enabling manufacturing teams to evaluate NC programs digitally, investigate machine behaviour and assess potential improvements before committing time and resources on the shop floor.

Visitors to Stand Q140-19 will be able to meet the Vericut team to discuss applications across CNC simulation, verification, optimisation, post-processing, digital manufacturing and AI-assisted workflows.

The team will focus on understanding each visitor’s specific manufacturing challenges and exploring how the appropriate technologies can help improve efficiency, reduce risk and deliver measurable business benefits.
