MRPeasy Cloud-Based ERP Software Helps TM Lighting Manage their Production Process and Scale Up : TM Lighting is the UK’s leading art lighting specialist. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of exceptional LED products that transform works of art within private residences, stately homes, galleries and museums, with commissions for high-end commercial spaces.
Directors Andrew Molyneux and Harry Triggs founded TM Lighting in 2012, addressing recent energy-saving legislation changes and the environmental impact on lighting commercial and private spaces, especially in the artworld. Bringing 30 years’ combined experience in lighting and product design, the TM Lighting approach and meticulous attention to detail brings art to life using the latest and most sophisticated LED energy-efficient technology, defined by careful selection of LEDs, resulting in unrivalled colour rendition and light distribution.
Commenting on the selection process, Co-founder Harry Triggs stated: “As part of the selection process we looked at a number of ERP platforms including Sage and Oracle NetSuite, but we excluded many of them due to upfront cost, implementation or adaptability. We do not simply on-sell other companies’ product lines. As a manufacturer, our business is very different, and we were looking for software which could handle inventory management, multiple BoMs and more advanced production requirements. We selected MRPeasy as we felt it could more effectively handle our complex product variations, offered an open API and allowed a degree of customisation to meet our production requirements”.
TM Lighting are using MRPeasy for production planning and reporting, inventory control, and supply chain management.
The software was initially implemented over 3.5 years ago and about 18 months ago there was a clean rebuild with the remodeling of all their part numbers.
Harry went on to state: “We are very satisfied with the MRPeasy platform and have found it to be a great tool which has helped us transform our overall business. Without it, our production would not run as smoothly as it does currently and certainly, we would not have been able to continue to scale our business to where we are today or at least not without needing to employ several more staff to manage the manual processes.”
