Danfoss Power Solutions today announced the launch of its PC-PRO software for hydrostatic transmissions. PC-PRO is a single-path propel solution that delivers precise speed and torque control in both automotive and non-automotive applications. It incorporates high-tech features such as advanced auto-inch, smart calibration routines, and advanced all-range ECO mode, enhancing machine efficiency, precision, and consistency while reducing startup time. PC-PRO is ideal for off-highway machinery with 

hydrostatic drives, such as wheel loaders, telehandlers, dumpers, feeder mixers, combines, harvesters, and forestry equipment. 

PC-PRO’s advanced all-range ECO mode cuts energy use and improves operator comfort. ECO mode automatically activates at medium to high vehicle speeds, reducing engine speed proportionally while maintaining constant vehicle speed. This lowers fuel consumption, reducing costs and improving machine uptime. It also minimizes noise emissions, creating a quieter, more comfortable environment for those working in the cab and nearby.

The system’s innovative work function interface, featuring advanced auto-inch and external engine RPM request, ensures the machine delivers both power and precision. When the engine speed rises in response to external requests — a command from the work function subsystem, for example — auto-inch automatically reduces the hydrostatic pump command, delivering smooth, precise movement while maintaining vehicle speed. The external engine RPM request ensures the machine delivers power when needed. This smart feature automatically increases engine speed when work functions or steering demand higher oil flow, ensuring smooth, powerful operation.
