Global composites manufacturer and pultrusion leader Exel Composites has welcomed Kristen Torres as its new area sales manager for the United States. With over 15 years of experience in industrial and automotive sales, Torres joins Exel at a critical time as the company looks to expand its presence across North America.
Torres holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, where she graduated in 2006. In her previous role at automotive and EV electrical component manufacturer Aptiv, she developed her expertise in technical sales and driving customer-focused sale strategies, particularly in the industrial and automotive sectors.
“In my first five years in sales at an industrial distributor, I managed almost 100 customer accounts,” explained Torres. “I had to really grow into the territory and understand multiple different industries, from food to automotive and metal manufacturing.
“I focused on understanding the needs and technical requirements of each customer, which allowed me to provide parts that truly met the demands of their sector. Over time, my ability to deliver the right solutions and build trust established me as a reliable partner for the customers that counted on me.”
In her new role as area sales manager, Torres will drive sales initiatives, manage key accounts, and identify new business opportunities within the region. Her focus will be on enhancing customer relationships and providing tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of Exel’s clients.
Torres will target key sectors such as electrical, buildings and infrastructure and telecommunications helping Exel to expand its market share and strengthen its position in the North American composites industry.
“Bringing Kristen on board is a significant step in enhancing our presence in the American market,” explained Francesco Ierullo, vice president of sales and marketing at Exel. ” Her dedication to understanding customer needs is a quality we look for at Exel and will help us strengthen partnerships and build our presence as the premier composites manufacturer in the Americas.”
As Exel Composites welcomes Kristen Torres, the company is poised to strengthen its foothold in the American market.
