To show how additive manufacturing (AM) can help manufacturers reach new levels of efficiency, Tri-Tech 3D will attend Interplas 2023 at NEC Birmingham from September 26 to 28. The UK provider of Stratasys, One-Click Metal and XJet 3D printing solutions will be at stand J52 in Hall 4, where visitors can meet the Tri-Tech 3D team and explore the benefits of AM technology.

AM has revolutionised the plastics industry by enabling faster prototyping than ever before. Traditionally, each iteration of a product made by injection moulding, for example, required production of a new injection mould tool, which is costly and time consuming.

When using AM, however, a manufacturer can create a physical product in a matter of hours, before getting the final injection mould tool made and bringing the product to market. This has enabled companies to design and print prototypes on the same day, with customers on site, whereas previously the process would have taken weeks.

Tri-Tech will demonstrate the speed and efficiency of AM prototyping at Interplas 2023. On the stand will be the Stratasys F370CR and a range of market leading Stratasys solutions including FDM, PolyJet, Stereolithography (SL), Selective Absorption Fusion (SAF) and Programmable PhotoPolymerization P3. Stratasys has partnered with industry leaders to develop materials and processes that are making 3D printed parts commonplace in a range of industries.

In addition to improving prototyping, Tri-Tech 3D solutions can help manufacturers maintain quality and production efficiency with aids such as jigs or fixtures used to position, hold and protect components and subassemblies.

“Our aim is to show visitors that additive manufacturing is not here to replace traditional methods, such as injection moulding, but rather to complement and enhance them,” explained Robert Pitts, sales manager at Tri-Tech 3D. “Interplas 2023 is the UK’s leading plastics show, bringing together over 500 exhibitors and 12,000 attendees from across the industry, so it’s the perfect place to demonstrate how the latest innovations in AM can benefit companies working with plastics.”
