Space-Comm Expo Europe 2026 has confirmed record numbers, with over 6,000 delegates, 250 exhibitors, 290 speakers and 50 participating countries, reinforcing its position as Europe’s most influential and biggest event for the commercial space sector. The two day event at ExCeL London, 4-5 March, featured the greatest ever gathering of global leaders and influencers from government, defence, space agencies, business and academia alongside an expo showcasing cutting edge technology at the forefront of a new space age.
Space-Comm Expo Europe featured keynote speakers including NASA, ESA, UN, NATO and international space agencies with key themes highlighting ‘collaboration’ and ‘investment’ to drive European ambitions. The event included major announcements from UK Space Minister Liz Lloyd confirming £500m allocated to national space programmes, and inspirational speeches from Sir Richard Branson and Tim Peake, highlighting the vital role of space to modern societies for security, economies, and protecting the planet.
Space Minister Liz Lloyd said: “Our vision is clear – to make the UK a competitive, agile space power. We’re allocating £500 million today, on top of ESA funding (£1.7bn), to drive forward our priorities and will continue to work closely with industry and investors to maximise private capital flows and unlock the full potential of commercial space.
Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Galactic, said: “We are at the dawn of a new space age. Events like Space-Comm Expo highlight how rapidly the space sector is evolving. When government, entrepreneurs, engineers, and investors come together to share ideas and ambition, we are helping accelerate a new commercial space age for future generations.”
This year saw the event expertly hosted by planetary scientist Suzie Imber, featuring two days of inspirational keynote speakers, panel sessions, symposiums and roundtables combined with a busy expo and international delegations from US, Europe, Middle East and Asia. London provides the ideal location for the award winning expo, a global capital for international diplomacy, business, and finance, key drivers for space industry innovation and growth.
Now in its sixth year, Space-Comm Expo Europe is firmly established as one of the most important space industry events in the world, creating a unique forum and unrivalled access for networking with policymakers, business leaders, primes, start-ups, entrepreneurs and investors. The event also attracted considerable media attention with BBC, Bloomberg, Reuters and over 100 registered media from space, science and technology.
Key features for the event programme included dedicated symposiums and roundtables for government delegations, transatlantic collaboration, European space agencies, mission control software, supply chain resilience, earth observation data, investment, insurance and space law.
