This May Railtex returns to the NEC in Birmingham and Rail Forum will be hosting our now familiar ‘joint stand’ with some of our smaller or ‘new to Railtex’ members. You can find us on stand D17.
Established 30 years ago in Derby by the supply chain for the supply chain, the Rail Forum now has a national membership of over 360 organisations stretching from Scotland to Cornwall and spanning all activities across the railway. Our diverse Board is drawn from our members and includes infrastructure and rolling stock supply chain, passenger and freight operations and light rail. We have a strong focus on manufacturing; all the rolling stock OEM’s that are active in the UK market are members along with many companies from their supply chains.
As a not-for-profit organisation we are committed to providing a strong membership offer. Our fee structure and pricing model ensure affordability and a voice for everyone, regardless of size. Whilst we provide the range of services that you’d expect from an industry trade body – representation and advocacy, events, information and specific collaborative opportunities – how we work is different. Our unique approach focusses on members’ needs alongside developing constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with government departments and key stakeholders. We also support several industry strategic objectives including the future talent agenda (through our junior and secondary school activities), innovation, safety and exports.
Railtex provides a great opportunity for us to support a few of our smaller members. Those who don’t want the full expense of their own stand or those new to the exhibition who need some more hands-on support with introductions and guaranteed footfall on their stand. 2023 will be the 4th time we have hosted a shared stand with, on this occasion, seven of our members. And of course, many other members will be present on their own stands too!
In addition to the Rail Forum team, we will be joined across the three days by members of our Board and several VIP guests. So, if you are planning a visit to Railtex, or if you are exhibiting, please do stop by stand D17 and say hello! For more information contact elaine@railforum.uk or visit www.railforum.uk
