Registration is open for visitors to EXPO Ferroviaria 2023, the biennial International Exhibition of Railway Technology, Products and Systems, which will take place from 3 – 5 October 2023 in hall 9 at Rho Fiera Milano, in Italy. Bringing together around 200 exhibitors from 13 countries, with 21% coming from international markets, the event showcases a rich program of associated events and specialised featured areas targeting specific technologies which represent the diversification of the railway market and are aimed at enriching the attendees’ experience at the trade show.

The strong participation of exhibitors, of which 36% are exhibiting for the first time, confirms the attractiveness of the event for the market, underlining the importance of the show as a point of reference for the exchange of know-how and discussions on trends, innovations, and opportunities within the sector. With national and international industry key industry players present at Rho Fiera Milano, the exhibitor list includes ABB, Alstom Ferroviaria, Hitachi Rail STS, Lucchini RS Spa, MA Group, Stadler Rail, Titagarh Firema, all representing the rolling stock technology sector, while rail infrastructure technologies are showcased by Mermec, Thermit Italiana, Cembre, Hexagon, Pantecnica and many others.

PRESENTATIONS AND CONFERENCES ON INDUSTRY TRENDS

EXPO Ferroviaria also represents an opportunity to discuss the most recent updates on international trends, via an extensive programme of exhibitor’s presentations and conferences, organised in collaboration with the show partners. Among the session titles already confirmed are “Touristic & Luxury Train: The world is looking at Italy “ organised by Ferpress; ASSIFER proposes a discussion on “The Implementation of the ERTMS Plan in the Italian railway network: technological framework and state of progress”; ASSTRA will host a session dedicated to “The straight path: Regional rail transport for the Mobility of the Future” and UNIFE European Rail Supply Industry will present “Tackling the environmental challenges while Preserving European industry competitiveness”.

TECHNOLOGIES AND FEATURED AREAS

This 11th edition also boasts spaces dedicated to complementary technologies and is a real display of the innovations and technological advancements that will shape the future of the railway sector. The exhibition area will include several spaces that will showcase specific technologies and new commercial opportunities for the industry. These also include the Aerospace Technology Hub, an area dedicated to companies adapting aerospace technologies to the railway sector, the Tunneling Area which offers a space dedicated to the tunnel sector and the On-Track Display, an authentic scenario for the presentation of rail-mounted vehicles and railway equipment.
