Titan Manufacturing, a machining and fabrication specialist based in Dorset, made its debut at an international naval expo – a major milestone in the company’s strategic expansion into the naval and wider defence sectors.

Titan featured at the Combined Naval Event (CNE) 2025 in Farnborough this May – a biennial event bringing together international navies and defence industry grandees, with more than 80 nations represented across 2,200+ attendees and 200+ exhibiting companies.

As one of Europe’s premier maritime defence exhibitions, CNE provided a vital platform for Titan to present its capabilities and forge new relationships with major players across the UK’s naval and defence landscape, including primary defence contractors such as Babcock and BAE Systems.

Ryan Hanger, Managing Director at Titan Manufacturing, said:

“Taking part in CNE 2025 was a major step for us – both symbolically and strategically. It was an opportunity to make key connections and showcase our enhanced capabilities – with all our recent investments, accreditations, and growth getting noticed by the right people in the industry.”

“We came away with new contacts and ten solid leads with top tier companies. If even one or two of those lands, we’ll be working on large-scale defence programmes that could secure our position in the sector for years to come. This is a very exciting time for Titan.”

Titan’s attendance at the expo followed a period of significant growth and preparation. In the past year, the company has invested heavily in its capabilities, expanding twice to occupy 31,500 sq ft across three sites. Widespread investment in technology and machinery has included the installation of high-capacity gantry cranes to handle larger components – directly targeting the scale and complexity demanded by the defence sector. The team is continually expanding, with six new roles created this quarter alone.

Earlier this year, Titan also achieved key defence sector accreditations: JOSCAR (the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) – a prestigious, industry-recognised register used by leading aerospace, defence and security manufacturers to streamline how they vet and select their suppliers and subcontractors, and Cyber Essentials Plus certification – signifying the highest level of defence against cyber-attacks.

Both certifications validate the company’s credentials as a trusted supplier, ready and able to deliver military contracts. Since the start of the year Titan has also secured membership of ADS (the UK’s aerospace, defence, and security industry body) and Made in Britain.

Added Ryan:

“We’ve established a really clear trajectory for the business, and exhibiting at CNE was a natural next step. We know how fast the defence sector is moving, with the naval environment emerging as key priority as investment is directed towards developing defence capabilities; there’s a real window of opportunity right now, and we are ready to meet it.”

Titan Manufacturing, founded in 2011, specialises in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, laser cutting, and surface finishing. The company continues to focus on the defence and food production industries, both of which demand uncompromising standards and flawless execution.
