Standard components manufacturer, norelem, is expanding its range of hinges with the addition of new stainless-steel variations. These new hinges are made from high-quality A4 1.4401 stainless steel and are available with either a hole fixing or screw fixing.
A4 quality stainless steel, often referred to as marine grade stainless steel, contains higher percentages of chromium and nickel than other forms of stainless steel, which makes it resistant to corrosion and less reactive overall. This means that the new hinge additions are suitable to be used for marine applications. The hinges are suitable for use in interior doors when installed in a visible position. Moreover, each can be used for either a left- or right-handed opening and feature an opening angle of 180°.
The hinges are also vibration-proof and are protected against general wear and tear thanks to the invisible, welded hinge pin.
The mounting hole version is available in five sizes, and the mounting screw version is available in three sizes, which means that customers can choose the most appropriately sized hinge for their projects.
In addition to the new A4 quality stainless steel hinges, norelem is expanding its range of sheet metal hinges to include seven screw-on variants. Similar to the new A4 quality stainless steel additions, the new sheet metal hinges can be used for interior doors but have a larger opening angle of 270°.
The new additions to the sheet metal hinge range can be further divided into five different forms. The first of which, form A, includes hinges with legs of two moderately different lengths. These new form A hinges are available in both A2 stainless steel, and regular steel.
Form B hinges feature one leg that is much shorter than the other, which allows for a more reinforced attachment. Like Form A, the new form B sheet metal hinges are also available in both A2 stainless steel and regular steel.
Form C and D hinges are equal legged hinges that can be hooked and unhooked, with form C being designed for right-side mounting and form D for left-side mounting. Both form C and D are available in stainless steel exclusively.
Finally, form E hinges are rectangular hinges with a fixed pin are available in chrome plated steel and brass plated steel.
Additionally, the new form A and form B sheet metal hinges feature a grease fitting, which means that they can be relubricated, in the eventuality that they become stiff. This ensures that the smooth operating movement remains intact.
