Christ wins third Red Dot Award | Product design 2024 for the EVO STAR wash tunnel

The EVO STAR wash tunnel was awarded the Red Dot in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024 category. This award underlines our tireless commitment to innovation and high-quality design in the car wash industry.

THE EVO STAR With its clear, minimalist design, the new EVO STAR wash tunnel integrates seamlessly into design language of Christ wash systems. This design language has already earned the Red Dot Design Award for our VEGA roll over wash unit and for the BLADE self-service wash park product family.

The design of the EVO STAR is characterised by inviting BLADE light elements, clean lines and harmonious radii. The display elements are also designed to match the BLADE design. The various wash programmes are indicated by different BLADE lighting.

The EVO STAR design begins with the entrance of the wash tunnel and is reflected throughout the design and display elements before and in the access zone, within the wash tunnel itself and at the exit.

The wash tunnel has a modular design, which allows a variety of components to be combined. Depending on the requirements of the operator, the EVO STAR wash tunnel elements can be combined in such a way that an optimum wash result and wash experience is achieved.

General information about the Red Dot Design Award The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most renowned design competitions and is divided into three categories:

• Product Design
• Brands & Communication Design
• Design Concept

Since 1955, a jury has been evaluating outstanding designs. In the 1990s, Professor Dr Peter Zec developed the award’s name and brand. The “Red Dot” award is internationally regarded as a mark of excellent design quality. The award winners are featured in yearbooks, museums and online.

Every year, the renowned Red Dot Award: Product Design category honours products that boast an exceptionally high design quality. The winners of the award are decided by the Red Dot jury. The experts evaluate the submissions against the four basic principles of good design: The quality of function, the quality of seduction, the quality of use and the quality of responsibility. In 2024, the jury consisted of 39 experts from 20 countries and various design disciplines. The submissions came from 60 countries and the products were tested and discussed by the jury members before being carefully evaluated.
