The Best Showcase Award from the FIR e.V. at RWTH Aachen University has been offered to PSI Automotive & Industry GmbH for an innovative showcase in the series production of electric vehicles. The attained showcase proves how vehicle production in quantities of “1” is possible under conditions such as series production.

The fully integrated software for production control and logistics, completely supplied by PSI, is currently being used successfully by the electric vehicle manufacturer e.GO Mobile AG.

“The participants liked the coherent operating concept of the solution as well as the possibility of mapping state-of-the-art and versatile production methods that keep up with the agility of the company e.GO Mobile AG,” said Karl Tröger, Business Development Manager at PSI Automotive & Industry.

The expert audience of the Aachener ERP-Tage decided the awarding with criteria that included the understanding of the presentation, whether new insights were gained and whether the subject generated attention. The showcases of other “registered” members were available for selection at the Enterprise Resource Planning Center on the RWTH Aachen campus.

The FIR is a non-profit, cross-industry research and training institution at RWTH Aachen University in the field of business organization and corporate IT with the aim of creating the organizational foundations for the digitally networked industrial enterprise of the future.

Based on its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities in the energy networks, energy trading, and public transport, as well as the mining, metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, and logistics industries. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 1,700 people worldwide.
