Schmitz Cargobull Supplies new Vehicle to Hansford Construction

Schmitz Cargobull, one of the leading manufacturers of semi-trailers, truck bodies and trailers used for temperature-controlled freight, general cargo and bulk goods in Europe has manufactured and delivered a vehicle for Hansford Construction. The Groundworks and Demolition company based in West Dorset has taken delivery of a new 8.2m light steel half-pipe trailer. The impressive new vehicle will be an asset to the company and will deliver an increased level of safety and efficiency when operating in busy quarry environments.

The new half-pipe tipper trailer will join Hansford’s mixed fleet of vehicles such as excavators and mini diggers. This new vehicle will be used by the company to transport aggregates from quarries located across Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The vehicles in the Hansford Fleet are also used to transport waste from their sites in the same regions. The new Half-pipe tipper will be a valuable new addition to the company.

When looking for a new vehicle, Hansford Construction only considered Schmitz Cargobull because of the high quality of the vehicles created by the vehicle manufacturer. The tipper was manufactured in Gotha in Germany and has a range of features that will be beneficial to the Groundworks and Demolition company.

The vehicle has been manufactured with the highest quality of steel, featuring a 5mm trough floor and a steel top hinged tail gate. Schmitz Cargobull has also used their own specially designed ROTOS axles and running gear in order to deliver bearings that are maintenance-free. The new tipper truck has features a disc brake ventilation system as well as a PVC roller curtain and an electronic braking system which has been added for increased safety.

Schmitz Cargobull is well known for their build quality and robust nature. For Hansford Construction, Schmitz is the only company they considered approaching while expanding their fleet.
