Schmitz Cargobull Deliver new Trailers to R Jameson Event Transport

Schmitz Cargobull has supplied two of their MEGA trailers to R Jameson Event Transport in order to improve their European fleet. The new trucks feature the German manufacturing company’s Ferroplast® panels which have been designed to be tougher than the conventional material used for bodywork while also being thinner, which means that the trailers have a larger internal volume, beneficial for the transportation of larger vehicles.

The specialist logistics company is based in Buckinghamshire and operates a 25 strong fleet, more than half of which have been produced by Schmitz Cargobull. The events company are returning customers for the manufacturing business because of the high quality of the trailers and the long lasting work life of the vehicles because of this.

The new trailers that have been supplied by Schmitz Cargobull will be incorporated into the fleet in order to replace older vehicles. While in use for R Jameson Event Transport, the new MEGA trailers will be used to move flight cases and staging equipment across to a variety of different events across Europe.

The technicians tasked with maintaining the event company’s fleet say that the Schmitz Cargobull trailers are great to keep at their best because of the way they have been constructed. This is helpful as they are popular in the fleet and rarely off the road. The Schmitz Cargobull trailers have been manufactured to be sturdy, which is helpful for R Jameson Event Transport, who are involved in the transportation of bulky exhibition equipment that could damage weaker trailers.

The new trailers will be based at the company’s main site in Marlow. These new trailers could be used up to seven days each week throughout busy periods. The trailers have been manufactured on to Schmitz Cargobull MODULOS bolted chassis and have been delivered to the events team with a 10-year warranty to guarantee the vehicle against rust through on all of the galvanised parts on the trailer. The trailers also feature five rows of load lock tracking which offers increased load security and ferry hold down shackles
