Lesjöfors Springs Acquires new Yorkshire Facility

Lesjofors_Springs

Lesjöfors Springs are an automotive company that manufacture an extensive range of springs used in the European car and light commercial vehicle market. The company produces the largest range of coil springs used in the automotive aftermarket. As well as manufacturing a range of replacement coil springs, Lesjöfors also works to deliver a range of market leading gas, leaf and sport rings to be used in the same sector.

In order to instill a larger vote of confidence in their UK business, the Lesjöfors has acquired a new distribution centre. The company will be relocating to their new purpose built UK distribution centre at Lindley Moor Road, in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The company has experienced success from the continued growth of the automotive aftermarket sector. Moving to this new 65,000 sq. ft. facility allows the company nearly 50% more storage capacity in comparison to their previous premises. This new site will also offer the spring manufacturer better transport links to the motorway network as well as easy access onto their site for heavy good vehicles.

The acquisition of the new site is great news for Lesjöfors UK as well as for their customers in the UK automotive aftermarket. The new facility will help the company to develop over the course of the next few years and will be perfectly suited to the company’s plans to expand their UK manufacturing presence.

The new Lindley Moor facility will deliver the company more space, which will then allow the company to carry out better materials handling and warehouse management solutions. These changes will give Lesjöfors a better position to maintain their 99% service rate and also have the capacity to meet the demands posed by the market while still remaining competitive. The new site is exceptionally well located and has been constructed to meet Lesjöfors exacting specifications.
