Eddie Stobart Seals Biggest Ever Manufacturing and Industrial Contract

Eddie Stobart has secured the biggest ever manufacturing and industrial contract in the company’s history.

The haulage giant has been named as the new logistics supply partner for the Concrete Products division of Aggregate Industries UK.

From October this year, the logistics for the division will be transferred to the Eddie Stobart manufacturing and industrial business unit.

Aggregate is one of the country’s largest materials suppliers to the construction and infrastructure industry.

The new five year deal was awarded after an exclusive tender and will see the haulage firm transport Masterblock, Charcon and Bradstone products from 14 different sites in the UK, through a combination of mechanical off road vehicles, flat trailers and specialist curtain siders.

This new strategic alliance with Eddie Stobart will allow Aggregate Industries to offer a more flexible and personal service to meet the ever changing needs of its customers.

The nature of the work is varied and as such needs a highly flexible haulage partner with specialist equipment and resources, which is one of the main reasons that Eddie Stobart was chosen for the role.

The firm’s intelligent planning systems, strategies and transparent operation are supported by the most up to date in cab telematics systems, which provide real time load information and industry leading accuracy which are both essential in making sure construction sites run smoothly.

Eddie Stobart has now become renowned both throughout the UK and across the world, with more than five decades of operating primarily in the retail distribution market.

It has offered deliveries on time and exceptional service levels, which have both been underpinned by its meticulous driver training programme.

Both Eddie Stobart and Aggregate Industries UK say that they have a shared dedication to offering market leading customer service along with commitments to quality and health and safety, which is why Aggregate says Eddie Stobart was its number one choice of partner.
