UK automotive supplier Brose UK is experiencing record growth thanks to achieving world class quality and delivery performance.
The company, which produces window regulators and seat structures for a series of global carmakers, has enjoyed a significant rise in sales, with turnover increasing from £43 million to £195 million over the last 12 months.
The Coventry firm has seen its workforce increase from 250 to 900 employees to cope with the growing demand, while its apprentice and graduate programmes are also continuing to grow.
Managing Director, Juergen Zahl, explained: When you look at how much new work we have secured, I think itâs fair to say weâve taken a far greater proportion of the domestic growth than we first envisaged.
In the last year alone, we have seen sales increase by 25% to a level that is now the highest in our 30-year history in Coventry.
We produce for Nissan in Sunderland and Toyota in Burnaston. In certain instances, we also supply into tier 1s like Lear and Johnson Controls.
Jaguar Land Rover has been a key driver in our expansion and Iâm delighted that we will shortly be starting production on a number of new model variants for the Midlands-based carmaker.
Brose is the fifth biggest family-owned automotive supplier in the world, and employs more than 24,000 employees at 60 locations in 23 countries throughout the world.
Group turnover is more than â¬6 billion and every second new vehicle worldwide is equipped with at least one Brose product.
Juergen concluded: Brexit has dominated the news in recent months, but it has been business as usual for us in the short-term, with customer volumes all increasing as planned.
The Group is firmly committed to Coventry and to ensuring we have the resources, technology and capability to continue to grow in line with the UK automotive sector.
