StocExpo Unveils 2023 Conference Programme

StocExpo, the world-leading tank storage and future fuels event, will for the first time host two simultaneous conference streams over three days when it returns to the Rotterdam Ahoy, 14th – 16th March 2023.

Day one – 14th March 

FETSA Tank Storage Conference: 

The first day of the Tank Storage conference will explore the impact of the Russia/ Ukraine war on supply routes, and how we can ensure our storage needs are met for the future.

Terminal Operations & Safety Conference: 

Day one of the Operations & Safety Conference features sessions on improving behavioural safety at the terminal, lessons learnt from incidents, and challenges arising from Dutch explosion safety regulations. Speakers include, Ghislaine Burink, Director of CR8 Safety and Peter Savage, HSC Manager at HG Storage.

Speakers include Energy and Climate Policy Expert, Frank Gerard, and Oil Market Analyst, Maurits Kreijkes, along with Mark Waddington, Director and Senior Consultant at Channoil Consulting, and Stefaan Adriaens, Commercial Manager at Gate Terminal.

Day two – 15th March 

FETSA Tank Storage Conference: 

Day two will explore the energy transition for storage terminals, including from an Iberian perspective. There will also be sessions on how electrical RTO technology and vapour recovery units can help gas venting go green and become more cost effective, and assessing storage demands for future fuels.

Terminal Operations & Safety Conference: 

The second day of the Terminal Operations & Safety conference stream will include a talk on managing the transition to fluorine-free foams, and an exploration of what level of sustainability mapping can realistically be achieved in the tank storage sector. There will also be a session on recent developments in corrosion-under-insulation management for storage terminals.

Speakers include Egbert Vrijen, Project Director at ACE Terminal, Lee Hodder, Chief Sustainability Officer for Galp, Bart van der Meer, Business Development Manager at H2A, and Bruno Hayem, Rubis Terminal CEO.

Day three –  

FETSA Tank Storage Conference: 

The third and final day of the FETSA Tank Storage conference stream will be made up of talks on preparing terminals against cyber threats, an in-depth look at digital transformation at Shell Energy & Chemical Park, and a talk on how I-IOT can save costs and CO2 emissions.

Speakers on the last day include, Hans Geurts, VTTI’S global IT Director, Gerco ver den Brink, Digital Transformation Lead at Shell, and Robert Bakelaar, IoT Solution Architect at Vopak.
