Weatherite Air Conditioning Ltd Managed to Close on a £10 Million Order

Weatherite Air Conditioning Ltd has managed to close on a £10 million order. This order is the largest in the company’s 45 year history and will involve designing and manufacturing 66 air condition units for a 118,000 sq. ft. data centre facility that is located in Ireland. The facility is the site for a range of servers and large commercial information storage systems in six data halls that are self contained. Each of the storage systems has their own power and cooling systems, but these will be replaced by the Air Conditioning equipment manufacturer.

The units that will be provided by the HVAC equipment manufacturer will be used to reduce the energy consumption of the data centre. The cooling solution that has been offered by Weatherite will be able to cut energy consumption by more than any other solution offered. As well as this large contract, Weatherite has also managed to secure five other contracts within the telecommunications and data centre market over the course of the last six months. The company is also aiming to invest £1 million into expanding their manufacturing facilities. This extension will hopefully give the company the capacity to secure larger contracts more frequently. As a reflection of their success, over the last 12 months, the company has managed to increase their turnover in the data centre market by £6 million. Investing in this sector should only lead to more and more success going forward.

Weatherite Air Conditioning was first established 45 years ago by the now Chairman, John Whitehouse. Speaking of this most recent and record breaking contract, the Chairman says that Weatherite has now firmly established itself in the data centre market. The company has experienced a great deal of success in recent years and hopefully this will continue in the future.
