Suffolk Manufacturer Announces Factory Expansion Plans : Caribbean Blinds, a Suffolk manufacturer, has revealed plans to extend its factory and double its workforce in an expansion project that is set to get underway in October. The business is planning to extend the site by 10,000 sq ft, with completion scheduled for spring 2021.

“As the fastest growing external shading company within the UK, this extension will allow for our ongoing development and provide us with the production capacity to supply expected demand. This investment has also enabled us to remain on our current site and in Sudbury for the foreseeable future, continuing Caribbean Blinds’ two-decade long residence in the area,” said managing director Stuart Dantzic.

As a result of the expansion Caribbean Blinds plans to double its workforce from 24 to 48 staff. It will initially recruit six new technicians.

Founded in 1987, Caribbean Blinds makes external shading systems, such as patio awnings and canopies, from its Sudbury factory.
