Finning, exclusive dealer for Cat® machines and equipment in the UK and Ireland, has announced that South Wales Fork Trucks (SWFT) has become the latest Authorised Sales and Service Centre (ASSC) in its expanding distribution network. A well-established industry specialist, SWFT will now sell a broader range of new and used Cat equipment into Gloucestershire and Somerset as well as the South Wales region as a Cat Compact Dealer.
With almost four decades of experience in selling and renting forklift trucks and its status as a Cat forklift truck dealership, SWFT is in prime position to drive expansion whilst complementing their current products and helping to meet growing demand for Cat compact machines.
Stewart Carter, Head of Building and Construction Products at Finning, comments:
“We’re pleased to welcome the addition of SWFT to our growing ASSC network – they are the perfect fit to ensure customers receive high quality local support across South Wales.
“SWFT is a well-established and well-regarded business in their region and with this new expansion customers will be able to more easily browse the products in-person and try them out to find their perfect fit, as well as enjoying instant access to any Cat certified servicing and maintenance support they might require.”
SWFT is a family-owned business which currently offers over 500 pieces of equipment including hire fleet, contract hire and customer owned machines. The business also has ten mobile engineers who undergo continuous service training to maintain the Cat standards. SWFT will distribute a wide variety of machines including the full range of mini excavators, skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders and many more.
SWFT recently attended the four-day Royal Welsh Show, an agricultural event in Llanelwedd, where they secured the sales of a 302 CR Mini Excavator and a 309 CR Mini Excavator.
Liz Selby, Managing Director at SWFT explains:
“We’re delighted to become a local Cat compact dealer here in our home region, and it will contribute to our ambition of broadening our customer base through offering a greater range of products and services. We look forward to working with Finning as we welcome more products and become a known Cat dealer. Customers can view the range of models on offer at our facility of over 170,000 sq ft in South Wales and discuss how we can benefit their business.”
