Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Reveals Plans for Kent Construction EXPO 2024

New Event Branding, Website and Steering Committee for County’s Thriving Construction Industry

Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce today launches a new website, branding and plans for the Kent Construction EXPO 2024, which takes place on Thursday 3rd October, at the Kent Event Centre in Detling. Each year the event unites Kent and South East construction community to connect suppliers with customers, forge new partnerships and opportunities for collaboration, as well as career development opportunities and the latest industry knowledge, trends and innovations.

Produced by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, the county’s leading business support organisation, in collaboration with Tunbridge Wells based Revolution Events. The Kent Construction EXPO is host to more than 150 exhibitors, a packed multi-streamed conference programme that will include free keynotes and interactive workshops, running alongside special events including a networking breakfast, meet the buyer sessions and a gala dinner.

Construction is an important industry in Kent with 18.0% of enterprises working within the sector,  according to statistics from Kent County Council, with 44,500 jobs in construction in Kent in 2022 accounting for 6.9% of all jobs, and the number of construction industry enterprises has grown in all Kent local authorities in the last five years, higher than the national average.

Newly appointed Chief Executive of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Tudor Price, states: “The Kent construction industry is growing, creating new jobs and delivering important building, civil engineering and specialist projects that are transforming the landscape and shaping the future of the county for our residents and business.”

Since 2021 the Kent Construction EXPO has grown by more than 10% each year, with 98% of visitors and exhibitors in 2023 stating that they would be returning this year.

Price adds: “The Kent Construction EXPO is the place for those wanting to build in the county to come together to learn about new innovation, share ideas, forge new connections and create new opportunities.”

The soon to be announced conference programme has been developed by a new Steering Committee, Chaired by Tudor Price and including Connor Styche, Managing Director at Digital Lookout (a Maidstone based company providing digital marketing to the construction industry); Cheryl Causebrook, a respected voice in the construction industry within the region and Liz Gibney, Partner at Lee Evans Partnership LLP (an award-winning architecture and design studio in Canterbury).
