Perfectly positioned at the crossroads of Bristol and Wales, the vast new depot is poised to dramatically elevate the level of service and support available to customers across the region; reinforcing Hunt Forest Group’s unwavering commitment to excellence and expansion in both the agricultural and construction industries.

Hunt Forest Group (HFG), the esteemed South and South-West dealer for Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar), is celebrating the grand opening of its latest and most ambitious facility yet: a cutting-edge “super depot” located in Green Ore, Somerset.

This significant merger of HFG’s Sparkford and Cheddar depots into a single, comprehensive facility represents a critical evolution in HFG’s strategy. With a rich history spanning over five decades in agricultural, grounds care, and construction, the dealership now boasts a team of nearly 200 individuals across seven key locations (Chilbolton, Dorchester, Nether Stowey, Isle of Wight, Blashford, and Tilshead). The Green Ore super depot is the company’s newest initiative to enhance its presence and capabilities, showcasing an extensive array of Yanmar equipment.

Featuring a vast showroom and state-of-the-art workshops, the super depot houses a specialist team of 25 HFG professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional sales, parts, and servicing support. This team caters to a diverse clientele, from the predominantly agricultural-focused customers in the West Country to those involved in construction, plant hire, and landscaping primarily in the Blashford and Isle of Wight areas.

Thanks to its strategic location, the depot guarantees the rapid transportation of Yanmar machinery and equipment from HFG’s other sites to Green Ore as needed. This logistical optimisation significantly reduces lead times and improves the synergy across HFG’s South and South-West facilities, ensuring prompt, efficient service for every customer.

Comprehensive customer service

Corben Hills, HFG’s Construction Representative, expressed, “The launch of the Green Ore depot is a landmark achievement in our quest to deliver unparalleled service and product offerings. By centralising our resources and expertise, we’re better equipped to meet the diverse needs of our customers, whether they’re involved in agriculture, construction, or in need of compact equipment solutions.”

Positioned to bolster regional support, the super depot embodies Yanmar’s hands-on approach and simplifies the sales process, housing an extensive selection of Yanmar mini and midi excavators, dumpers, compact wheel loaders, wheeled diggers, and attachments. This reflects the brand’s wide appeal and meets the varied demands of the company’s customer base.

With its origins dating back to 1967 and a six-year tenure as a licensed Yanmar dealer, HFG’s alliance with Yanmar has been crucial in satisfying the growing demand for superior compact equipment. The depot will feature popular models such as the SV15VT, SV17vt, among others, ensuring a broad selection to fulfil each customer’s requirements and expediting delivery for those in immediate need.

This significant development marks both Hunt Forest Group’s and Yanmar’s bold stride forward in service excellence and customer dedication. Be a part of the journey as the team embark on its new era in Somerset, with the doors to innovation, expertise, and unparalleled support now wide open.
