Field and Forest Debuts Yanmar CE at ScotPlant 2024

Yanmar Compact Equipment’s newly appointed Scottish dealer will be showcasing an impressive line-up at this year’s ScotPlant exhibition, headlined by the SV86-7 and SV100-7 midi excavators for their anticipated UK premier.

Field and Forest, an Edinburgh-based ground care and forestry equipment specialist, is gearing up for a landmark showcase at ScotPlant 2024 – Scotland’s premier construction and plant hire event. The event marks the first major exhibition for Field and Forest since becoming the authorised dealer for Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar) in central and southern Scotland; cementing the company’s strategic expansion into construction equipment sales.

Since the partnership’s inception this January, Field and Forest has rapidly carved out its territory, spanning from the picturesque Kirkudbright on the southern borders up to the rugged Isle of Mull off the coast of western Scotland. The dealer has quickly made its mark in the market, already selling ten Yanmar machines and demonstrating a strong regional demand for compact construction equipment.

Rolling out the red carpet

Located just 10 minutes from Field and Forest’s facility, ScotPlant provides the perfect stage to display a wide array of Yanmar’s class-leading compact machinery, including seven mini excavators, three midi excavators, two tracked carriers, and the B75W (7400 – 7600 kg OW) wheeled excavator*. The spotlight will particularly shine on the newly launched SV86-7 (8,675 kg Operating Weight) and SV100-7 (9,705 kg OW) midi excavators, which will be making their official debut on UK soil. These units are tailor-made for today’s urban challenges, combining compact dimensions with superior efficiency, enhanced performance, and design focused on operator comfort.

Harry Denholm, Construction Equipment Specialist at Field and Forest, expressed his enthusiasm: “ScotPlant is an great opportunity for us to showcase our exciting new partnership with Yanmar, and give the Scottish market a chance to experience SV86-7 and SV100-7 midi excavators up close. We’ve already had many customers share their excitement about our attendance, which is really encouraging.”

Versatility unlocked

Attendees will enjoy a first-hand look at Yanmar’s versatile machinery equipped with various attachments, highlighting their adaptability for a multitude of projects including construction, demolition, landscaping, and civil engineering. Many of the machines have been pre-sold and will bear customer-specific branding and modifications, such as a bespoke glossy-black finish on a SV26 Conventional Tail excavator (2,740 kg OW); offering insights into real-world applications and the customisation options available to customers. Plus, Field and Forest is also making ownership more attainable with an exclusive ScotPlant financing deal: 0% interest over three years for customers initiating purchases at the event.

This long-anticipated event showcases Field and Forest’s significant growth and its dynamic partnership with Yanmar, set to transform Scotland’s construction landscape.
