Globally recognised accreditation company EcoVadis has presented the Midlands-based multidisciplinary engineering firm adi Group with a platinum award for its sustainable and socially responsible business efforts. For the second year in a row, adi Group, which works with some of the world’s leading manufacturing organisations, has been awarded the Platinum EcoVadis Accreditation.
The EcoVadis award, won by adi Group, is one of the most prestigious in the industry, with the criteria focusing on four key themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Having retained its Platinum Accreditation from EcoVadis, adi Group achieved an impressive score of 76 out of 100 and now sits in the top one per cent of businesses in the world who are accredited by this globally renowned ratings platform.
Alan Lusty, CEO of adi Group (pictured, above) is delighted at the firm’s latest award and recognition. “To achieve, as well as retain this accreditation is a testament to all of our responsible business activities, along with the continuous improvement culture we uphold so well across the Group. We are beyond thrilled to have been awarded the Platinum Accreditation yet again, demonstrating our ongoing sustainability and socially responsible business efforts,” he said.
Despite the ongoing worldwide difficulties of previous years, adi Group and its employees have led the way for the engineering industry, continuing to deliver first-class results without a break in supply chain. From remote working and continuing to drive energy efficiency, adi has continued to help clients and the likes of food and beverage manufacturers adapt to such needs.
“This award is indicative of the pride and passion we take in all our work, from our local communities right through to worldwide organisations,” Alan continued.
This award brings together everything that adi does, from its RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety to its CSR and responsible business activities.
The firm’s ongoing volunteering and charity work, its commitment to the Apprentice 5% Club, and its placement in the “Times Best Companies to Work For” survey have all contributed to being awarded this accreditation.
Explaining adi Group’s passion and involvement for engineering a better future, Alan said; “We continue to partner with various schools for our pre-apprentice program, including Kings Norton Boys School.
“And this result is a testament to adi Group’s excellent responsible business program and initiatives, as well as our employee’s ongoing and tireless hard work.”
