North West manufacturing firm ChargePoint Technology has moved into a new multi-million pound production facility in Merseyside.
The company has relocated to the bigger production facility in Speke, Liverpool, in order to accommodate its plans for growth and compete more effectively in the growing aseptic bio-pharma market.
The site measures 27,000 sq ft in size and is fitted with more than £1 million worth of technology and is made up of a mix of office and production space, along with areas for product demonstrations, customer visits and staff training.
ChargePoint is planning to invest further in the facility with clean rooms to be installed for product testing and assembly.
The firm claims to be the second biggest containment valve manufacturer in the world and is also to invest in product development to expand its share in the market.
Managing Director of ChargePoint, Chris Eccles, said: Our move is in line with both our growth and our ambition and drive to offer the highest quality products for sectors that need to use containment transfers.
We have invested in state-of-the art technology to improve our unique and progressive devices and this commitment will be evident in the technology in development at present.
Eccles added that the company now has more machine capability to increase its existing range of products and also reported phenomenal growth for the company in the first quarter of this year.
He wants the company to show that it is a high precision manufacturing firm surrounded by a number of world leading biopharma businesses in the area and is now targeting an even bigger share of the market.
Last year, ChargePoint saw a 20% year on year growth in its global sales, with exports accounting for 79% of the companyâs turnover.
