Successful from the black-and-white film era to the cloud: ip.labs, a subsidiary of FUJIFILM, stands for success driven by continuous change unrivaled by any other company.
There is arguably no other medium that has made history like photography. And hardly any other medium has experienced such upheavals and change. FUJIFILM has been synonymous with analogue photography at the cutting edge since 1934. Today, FUJIFILM with instax continues to be a globally popular brand in photography as well as one of the leading providers of medical technology. FUJIFILM has not only survived the sometimes radical changes in photography but has, above all, seized the opportunities that have arisen. This is only possible if you are not satisfied with what you have achieved, but always strive for the best possible results. And not to be afraid of change but to embrace it. FUJIFILM is, therefore, not looking back on 90 years of successful company history, but instead focussing on the future and the opportunities it presents.
Ip.labs GmbH has been part of this future for 20 years now. The company from the tranquil town of Bad Godesberg in Germany has founded a segment and successfully established it on the market: Software solutions that enable companies to sell photo products online and allow their customers to design them down to the smallest detail. Founded in 2004 by German tech investor and serial founder Frank Thelen , the start-up quickly went from pioneer to world market leader in this field and became a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM in 2008.
Today, ip.labs is the leading SaaS provider of Web2print white label solutions in the B2B segment and offers a comprehensive range of solutions for printing and online providers of photo products. The ip.labs portfolio includes editors for photo products ranging from simple greeting cards to complex products such as individually designed photo books. In addition, ip.labs offers its business customers everything they need in terms of software to successfully sell photo products, such as interfaces, design, and production tools for e-commerce and print shops. Since the future lies in the cloud, ip.labs also bring solutions to the table in this area.
With 20 years of ip.labs and 90 years of FUJIFILM, we are not only celebrating 110 years of photo imaging expertise but, above all, 110 years of successful transformation. “I would like to thank the entire ip.labs team. We can be proud of what we have achieved over the last 20 years. It is a great honor to be part of this innovative company and its success story. We are all looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that the future holds. “, says CEO Yuji Hara.
