Filtermist Set to Take ‘Clean Air’ Solutions to Foodex

Filtermist Set to Take ‘Clean Air’ Solutions to Foodex

Following four years of acquisitions, Filtermist is currently preparing to showcase its full capability as a clean air solutions provider at the Foodex exhibition.

This will be the first time the company has exhibited at a show outside of its core manufacturing market – Director of Group Marketing, Lydia Barber, elaborates, “The acquisitions made since 2016 mean our product and service offering has expanded considerably, and with it the industries we are able to support. Filtermist has an established reputation with UK manufacturers operating in markets that involve metalworking but is less well-known in other manufacturing industries including food processing.

“Filters from the Dustcheck brand, which became part of our portfolio back in 2017, are used in a wide range of food processing applications – both by end users and OEMs which incorporate filters into their production lines. According to the HSE, exposure to flour dust is the second highest cause of occupational asthma in the UK – risks can be significantly reduced by using effective control measures.”

Other products on show at Foodex will include Filtermist and Absolent filters which are used to remove vegetable oil mist in food processing applications, as well as Kerstar’s ATEX and Type H rated cleaners. Filtermist will also be highlighting the fact that it is part of the Absolent Group which also includes the Airmaid brand from Interzon and commercial kitchen ventilation specialist, Jeven.
