Manufacturing & Engineering 2017 is almost upon us, and with just over two months to go until the event takes place at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, the line-up of guest speakers has been announced to the public. In what is possibly the eventâs strongest line-up to date, there will be talks detailing various opportunities for growth, the latest technological innovations and inspiring case studies from the North East coming from high profile speakers including Liberty House Group, Hitachi Rail and the Scale-up Institute.
Manufacturing & Engineering is a show that is unique to the region of the UKâs industrial Powerhouse in the North East, and it was launched in 2015 not only to champion the UK manufacturing and engineering sector, but also provide a platform from which to build on the regionâs successful industrial heritage. Since the inception of the event two years ago, it has been extremely successful in terms of creating new business contacts as a result of the exhibitions, as well as promoting fresh business and creative ideas.
Day One of this yearâs conference will be opened by Hitachi Rail, with the company set to discuss how the first year of production at its new and purpose-built Newton Aycliffe site has gone. Douglas Dawson will open Day Two of the 2017 event, as the CEO of the Industrial and Engineering Division of Liberty House Group will discuss his companyâs heavy investments in UK manufacturing.
This year also sees the introduction of the new Virtual Reality demonstration area, where visitors will be able to try out this growing technology for themselves, as well as viewing demonstrations on this latest VR design and manufacturing technology. The event will take place on 5th to 6th July, and it promises to be an unmissable two-day show both for visitors and businesses alike!
