28 new lodges have been manufactured by Willerby Innovations for Warwick Castle. Visitors to the medieval castle will now be able to stay in one of the styled lodges created by Willerby Innovations. The lodges will be managed by Merlin Entertainment and will offer visitors at the popular theme park an extra experience.
Warwick castle is a popular tourist attraction that contains interactive attractions as well as re-enacted history for visitors to enjoy. The castle contains Time Tower and The Castle Dungeon which both involve a variety of different historical characters in order to bring history to life for the enjoyment of the entire family.
Willerby announced that they had designed and manufactured 24 single storey Woodland Lodges for the park as well as four larger two storey Knights Lodges. The medieval style lodges had to be placed by crane in the heart of the forest on the castle grounds. Building the accommodation offsite was a good way to save time and make sure that the lodges were ready for peak season, Willerby provide an offsite service which proved perfect for the attractionâs requirements. Manufacturing the lodges offsite also made sure that there was very little disruption for staff and guests at Warwick Castle.
The lodges have been designed by Willerby to complement the style of the Knightâs village and make the lodges a memorable choice for families to stay. The Woodland Lodges consist of a double bedroom, two bunkbeds and a pullout bed and a cot; there is also a wet room with shower. The lodges have cable TV, free Wi-Fi and temperature controls. The Knights Lodges accommodate seven guests so has a mezzanine level with a sleeping area and open plan lounge with a sofa bed.
Willerby delivered the lodges last summer and they have been a success with the guests ever since. The families that stay in the lodges also get priority to enter Warwick Castle during their stay.
