Rapid Action Packaging, or RAP, the sustainable food-to-go packaging company has been awarded the Manufacturer of the Year Award the annual FPA Awards ceremony. The high accolade was awarded to the designers and manufacturers of RAP at the Grand Hotel Brighton. The ceremony was attended by 450 FPA members. The Manufacturer of the Year award was sponsored this year by Bunzl Catering services.
The Manufacturer of the Year Award is voted for by customers. This is vital as an award voted for by customers displays the manufacturing companyâs good reputation, and further improves their reputation with the positive exposure from winning the prize.
The Award comes after a good year for the food packaging company as they have also gained a Global Standards Status of AA. This rating was awarded by BRC. The to-go packaging company has also collected packaging awards from the Café Quality Awards. At this event, RAP collected two UK Packaging Awards as well as the Unique Packaging Solution Award. These awards will recognise the effort put in by all team members. The awards could give the company a great deal of exposure which could lead to investment s and expansion. This is positive as the drive to improve sustainability could lead to even more success for RAP.
At the FPA Awards ceremony, the company was also highly commended as part of the Product Innovation Award. This commendation was for the companyâs Open Sandwich Box and Strip Laminated HandRap.
The Foodservice Packaging Association Awards also saw Tri-Star win the National Distributor Award, and Katherine Fleet of RPC Group won the Rising Star Award. Other winners included Deli2Go Hot Paninis & Toasties who won the Product Innovation Award and Novamont who took home the Sustainability Award for the creation of a dual use and compostable carrier bag scheme that was undertaken for a major retailer.
