After 21 years, pladis, one of the world’s leading snacking companies, will be relocating its global head office from Hayes, Middlesex, to Chiswick, London in the summer of 2021. Home to beloved brands including McVitie’s, and Jacob’s, the head office will support 16,000 colleagues and 25 bakeries worldwide. The new office will also be home to the UK&I regional office, led by David Murray.
“We have been looking for an office space which better reflects our needs and our ambition to be a defining snacking company of the 21st century. The new office will be much more than just a place for us to work, it will be a space where we can truly showcase our exceptional portfolio and grow and inspire our ambitious team,” said Salman Amin, Chief Executive Officer.
“Chiswick Park is in a great location that will be appealing for current and future talent, and we are looking forward to welcoming our pladis colleagues and partners to our new home.”
As a fast-growing, global company, pladis’ new workspace has been purpose-designed to meet the businesses’ needs and will be a place to work, share, collaborate and belong. Spread out over approximately 28,000 sq ft, the new office is modern and fresh, yet also pays homage to the history and heritage of pladis, as a family of bakers. A carefully curated range of workspaces, quiet zones and collaboration settings have been designed to enable employees to come together, work and think creatively, and foster an inclusive, innovative culture.
“We are delighted to welcome pladis to Chiswick Park. The company is a perfect fit for our Campus and will connect with an exclusive group of like-minded businesses and individuals. We look forward to pladis joining our collaborative workplace community,” said Matt Coulson, CEO Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work.
Chiswick Park is also situated around gardens and a lake and is home to a number of retail and leisure outlets which pladis employees can enjoy. pladis will join a number of other brands already situated in Chiswick Park, including Danone, Discovery, Pernod Ricard and Starbucks.
