New Crisps Manufacturer on Tesco Shelves

New Crisps Manufacturer on Tesco Shelves

The manufacturer of air dried fruit and vegetable crisps, Nim’s Fruit & Veg Crisps, has just secured a year of expansion by sealing a deal with Tesco. Its products will be stocked by Tesco, a deal which follows previous agreements with Co-Op and online specialist Oscado.

More than 1,500 stores all over the country will sell apple, pear, and beetroot and parsnip varieties, made exclusively from fruits and vegetables sourced from the UK. They will be sold across the Main Estates stores and the ‘Express’ supermarkets in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

This is a fantastic way to finish a significant twelve months that has been filled with major breakthroughs, said Nimisha Raya, Founder of Nim’s Fruit Crisps. We have been in discussions with Tesco for some time about selling our great tasting, healthy snacks on their shelves. The hard work has been worth it and I’m delighted to announce we’ll be in stores shortly, she added.

The deal with the retail giant will transform the business and will bring future growth. Its factory in Kent will need to speed up the production and employ three more people to help with it. Additionally, these products will be stocked in the fresh produce section and they will be licensed by the Department of Health as 1 of your 5 a Day.

We’re delighted to be adding Nim’s Fruit & Veg Crisps to the great range of snacks we offer customers in store. They look good, taste good and are a great ‘healthier’ snack choice, commented Joanna Batty, produce buyer at Tesco.

Nim’s Fruit & Veg Crisps are dairy, fat, and gluten free, as well as Vegan, Kosher, and Halal certified. They are manufactured at its facility in Sittingbourne, where it produces over 12 million packs of crisps every year. For those who like picking up the ‘healthier’ snack choice, this will become a new favourite.
