OptiBiotix Health, the life sciences firm, has reached an exclusive manufacturing and supply agreement with John Morley Foods for weight management technology, SlimBiome. According to the agreement, John Morley Foods will take 50% of the profit following its time spent in the last six months developing a range of products containing SlimBiome to be sold as own-brand products or product line extensions for well-known brands.

Moreover, John Morley Foods, which supplies ingredients to major retailers and food brand, will also be promoting the SlimBiome muesli packs.

“We chose Morleys due to their reputation as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist ingredients and the energy and passion they have shown in developing a wide range of muesli products containing SlimBiome over the last six months. We believe working with Morleys, and similar partners around the world, provides the best opportunity of meeting the requirements of major retailers and global brands,” said Stephen O’Hara, chief executive at OptiBiotix.

Aside of having a high influence within the major UK retailers, John Morley Group also meets the needs of large consumer markets in India and the USA.

“This is an exciting development, and a range like this has not been done by anyone else. Mueslis are healthy, but now we’re creating a muesli-plus, something that will help people control mid-morning snacking urges by making them feel fuller for longer,” said Simon Brown, managing director of John Morley Group.

Since 1958, the John Morley Group have been a leading supplier to bakers, breakfast cereal and food manufacturers, from mainstream retailers to well-known household brands. They provide a wide range of ingredients selected from over 20 countries around the world by their experienced team of experts. From their 80,000 sq ft BRC accredited, Cheshire based facility, they can process and blend to customer’s specific requirements, providing a complete service for the food industry.
