BenQ releases the world’s first colour and HDR-certified monitors for creatives

BenQ, the leading global innovator of display technologies, launches two professional design monitors into its DesignVue portfolio. The PD2705Q and PD3420Q are the first monitors in the world to have achieved prestigious certifications from CalMAN, Pantone and VESA.

As a comprehensive out-of-the-box digital toolbox solution, the new monitors are designed specifically for creatives who rely on exact colour reproduction, HDR quality and precise image clarity. The IPS HDR panels are available in two sizes, 27” (PD2705Q) which features a resolution of 2560×1440 and 34” (PD3420Q) with ultrawide HDR 3440×1440 resolution. Both monitors also feature a 5ms response time, 60Hz refresh rate and built-in speakers.

Unique to these monitors is the exceptional colour reproduction. Earning certifications from industry colour experts, the monitors are the first in the world to be CalMAN verified and Pantone validated.

Embedded with BenQ’s exclusive AQColour Advantage, ICC/ISO professional standards are met to deliver detailed precision and assure out-of-the-box Delta E ≤ 3 colour accuracy. Achieving 100% of industry standard sRGB and Rec.709 wide colour gamuts, the factory-calibrated displays also arrive with a unique calibration report for guaranteed quality for designers relying on exact colour match.

In addition, the PD3420Q is HDR-10 compatible, having achieved the prestigious status of VESA DisplayHDR 400. Allowing videographers to preview HDR video content during editing sessions for realistic results in an instant.

The monitors are also pre-set with professional display modes to adjust the screen, including; Darkroom Mode to adjust the image brightness and contrast for work in dark environments; M-book Mode to replicate exquisite colour from Mac devices; Animation Mode to enhance the clarity of dark areas without overexposing bright regions; and CAD/CAM Mode to enjoy superior contrast of lines and shapes in technical illustrations.

For those who use multiple input sources, BenQ has included KVM switch connectivity, which allows smooth switching between two PC inputs on one display with a single mouse and keyboard. In contrast, users who enjoy a multi-screen set-up, BenQ has assured colour consistency across all screens from different product lines will be displayed at the same level.

The sleek design of the PD2705Q and PD3420Q, features connectivity via HDMI, DisplayPort and USB, while also offering one cable connectivity via USB-C. The USB-C port transmits high-speed video, audio, data and 65W power delivery.

The displays also feature BenQ’s exclusive industry-leading Eye-Care technology to reduce eye fatigue via its low blue light, flicker free and anti-glare features.
