A key element is the possibility of predictive maintenance. If the system discovers irregularities or weak points on the vehicle, service queries can be activated automatically. Wear-prone components (e.g. bogies) are monitored by the trailer telematics so that wear can be detected at an early stage. In addition, KIT also offers an interface to connected workshops to document maintenance and repair work, guaranteeing a digital vehicle file throughout the trailer’s entire service life.
