North East Manufacturer Launches Podcast Series

North East Manufacturer Launches Podcast Series

John Elliott MBE, DL has launched a podcast series to share and discuss how some of the best organisational techniques used in manufacturing and business can be applied for greater success.

John, whose company Ebac is the UK’s only washing machine manufacturer, is talking to people involved in business and public life in the ‘Spot On!’ podcast.

It has already featured well-known North East business people and politicians including Middlesbrough Deputy Mayor Meika Smiles, former Nifco Europe Operations Officer & Managing Director of Nifco UK, Mike Matthews and David Land, director of Drive 2 Business and director and co-founder of IA Growth.

Recorded in a North East podcast studio, John is keen to cast the net wider and welcome guests from across the UK, or the world, to be interviewed remotely. The podcasts are available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon and You Tube.

John has been involved in UK manufacturing for 50 years – in addition to washing machines Ebac also makes dehumidifiers and water coolers. He left school at 15 with no qualifications but is now a successful businessman committed to making more of the things the British public need. He is a boss who cares so much about his employees and community that he has put his business into a foundation so it can never be sold or moved overseas.

A prolific media commentator John has strong views on everything from Brexit (he was pro) through to exactly how the country should be governed.

John Elliott MBE said: “I am often heard giving my opinions so I thought it was time that I listened to what other people had to say.

“Although in its infancy, the podcasts have been interesting to do and I am hoping that many more people will get in touch to join me and share their ‘Spot On’ opinions and ideas.”
