Surveillance Technology Specialist Reveals Turnover Climb

Surveillance Technology Specialist Reveals Turnover Climb : New accounts have revealed that at a Fareham-headquartered surveillance technology specialist the turnover has surged past the £20 million milestone. Results for the year to 31 December 2019 revealed Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) turned over £22.8 million, up from £19.7 million 12 months earlier.

DTC also made an operating profit of £2.3 million, up from a loss of £28,000 in 2018, while pre-tax profits climbed from £919,000 to £2.4 million.

A statement filed with the figures hailed the “improved performance” in the video market, although the cellular market “remained challenging”.

Business in Europe grew, with the Middle East and Far East ‘remaining stable’.

The statement added: “Opportunities in commercial applications for the technology progressed very well during the year, particularly in the Indian sub-continent.”

The business develops overt and covert surveillance, communications and broadcast systems to customers in more than 140 countries across the world. DTC was formed in 2016 when Californian private equity firm Marlin Equity Partners acquired the tactical communications and surveillance division of Cobham. The company also has offices in the US, Singapore and Denmark.
